材料外膜土工织物或土工膜，通过针刺或缝合的方法制成的的复合防渗材料，本公司所采用的是高膨胀性的钠基膨润土，其特点是遇水后膨胀，产生水合作用，形成不透水的凝胶体，同时此种膨润土还有储存水分的能力，其吸收、含水量可达自身重量的10倍以上

与土工膜相比，其优越性主要表现在：
a）密实防水隔水性能好，膨润土在法向水压状态下形成密实不透水的凝胶隔膜层
b）柔性好，能较好的适应不均匀沉淀。
